Experimenting with different degrees of abstraction

I first sketched different degrees of abstraction for a rodent. From footprints to the full body of a rodent, I decided that using a full-body rodent will be able to deliver a pest control message more clearly as pest control is a business industry which doesn't call for a cute image, rather than a practical and functional image for a company.
Different Degrees Of Abstraction (extended)

After which, I experimented with different full-body rodent images and I decided to choose the second one as it has a "softened" look which filters out the ugliness of a rodent but yet still represents the image of a rodent clearly.
Combined with a symbolic "NO" sign, I created a SYMBOL:

It is meant to communicate an anti-pest message.
Business Card Final

No flowery language, just what service, the company "motto" - we say "NO" to pests - and contact details on the business card to give interested customers sufficient information to contact the company if they are in trouble.
